| Council Consideration of a Bid Award for the Eight Mile Improvement and Service District (ISD) Water Connection, to Hot Iron, Inc., in the Amount of $1,108,029.97. |
| BACKGROUND: |
This project is included in the second funding package for the Gillette Regional Water Supply Project that will provide a connection to the Eight Mile ISD. The Eight Mile ISD connection will be accomplished by extending a new eight inch transmission line along Force Rd beginning at Jocelynn Ave to the Eight Mile ISD tank site. A new control building will be placed in proximity to their tank that will provide the necessary appurtenances to provide this service.
This project was advertised for bid on October 4th, October 11th, and October 18th. A pre-bid meeting was held on October 11th. The City of Gillette Purchasing Division opened bids on October 23rd at 2:00 P.M., at the City Warehouse. Below is a summary of the four bids received:

HDR provided bidding phase services for this project, which included a review of the bids. HDR has provided the attached recommendation for award to Hot Iron, Inc. |
| ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET: |
The Engineer's estimate for construction at the time of bidding was $1,376,070.00. Schedule A for this project is eligible for reimbursement from the Wyoming Water Development Commission (WWDC) through the 67% grant and the remaining 33% will be paid with Cap Tax. Schedule B contains work that is not WWDC eligible, and will therefore be paid for with Cap Tax.
