| Council Consideration of a Resolution Authorizing the Submission of an Application to the Wyoming Parks and Cultural Resources Commission Under the Land and Water Conservation Fund for the Governing Body of the City of Gillette, Wyoming, for the Purpose of the Energy Capital Sports Complex Splash and Play Facility Project. |
| BACKGROUND: |
| This resolution takes the place of the previous resolution for the Land and Water Conservation Fund grant application in the amount of $150,000 for the Sports Complex Splash and Play Facility Project. A mistake was made on the original resolution at the last meeting stating there was to be a public hearing on Nov 27. This was a mistake and the public hearing was not necessary to submit the application. We would like to clarify the resolution with updated verbiage that meets the grant applications regulations. A full copy of the City of Gillette's grant application will be available for review in the City's Finance Department after December 31st. Enclosed separately is a copy of the Resolution of Support for Council approval. The signed Resolution will accompany the grant application. Staff supports the Resolution. |
| ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET: |
| The grant request will be in the amount of $150,000. The City of Gillette will provide an in-kind match of no less than 50%. |

| I move to Approve a Resolution on Behalf of the Governing Body of the City of Gillette, Wyoming to Submit an Application to the Wyoming Parks and Cultural Resources Commission under the Land and Water Conservation Fund for the Purpose of the Energy Capital Sports Complex Splash and Play Facility Project. |
