The project includes 2 separate locations for improvements, see the attached map. The alley from 3rd Street to 4th Street between Ross Avenue and Warren Avenue. This includes the replacement of 620 square yards of asphalt pavement with 6½ inches of Portland cement concrete.

Also included is the repair of 93 square yards of failed concrete alley paving from 4th Street and 5th Street between Carey Avenue and South Emerson Avenue.

Thirty five (35) working days has been allowed for the project to reach substantial completion with an additional five (5) working days to reach final completion.

Bid Opening

On Tuesday February 12, 2020, bids were opened and read aloud by the City of Gillette Purchasing Division.  Three bids were received.

Mountain Peak Builders            $98,675.10

Powder River Construction         $110,219.37

S & S Builders                               $127,395.00

Engineer's Estimate                  $127,395.00

No errors were found in the bids.  Mountain Peak Builders was the lowest qualified bid.

Mountain Peak Builders has indicated they are comfortable with their bid.  Mountain Peak Builders successfully completed last years Alley Pavement Management Project within the time allowed.  They have the necessary equipment and staff to complete this project.

The funding for this project has been allocated from the Optional 1% Account 201-10-05-419-40-44331.
