Bids were opened and publicly read aloud on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 for construction of the Energy Capital Sports Complex ADA Playground, Splash Park, and Pump House/Restroom Facility Project, project 20EN12. The following bids were submitted:

Powder River Construction, Inc:    $2,498,101.99

DRM, Inc:                                          $2,698,081.73

Van Ewing, Inc:                                 $2,716,252.02

Engineer's Estimate:                         $2,807,378.15

The project includes installing an all-inclusive splash and play area adjacent to the multi-purpose fields. The all-inclusive park allows for handicap children to also utilize the play areas. Playground equipment will include equipment that provide accessibility and sensory benefits for children. Also included with the project is the splash park for kids. The splash park will include multiple features for a range of children from little tykes to young teenagers. Beyond the splash and play park, this project includes a building that has bathrooms, space for a future concessions area and houses the I.T. and mechanical systems for the splash park. The project also includes approximately 1,700 ft of a sanitary sewer main extension for the entire complex.

Schedule: This project is set up to be substantially complete (all items installed) by November 30, 2020. The final landscaping and testing of all of the facilities will be completed before May 15, 2021.
