SUBJECT:
Council Consideration of a Professional Services Agreement for Design Services Associated with a Playground Master Plan, with Russell Mills, in the Amount of $37,780.00 (1% Project).
BACKGROUND:

Russell Mills will assist city staff with developing master plans and preliminary design for five playgrounds in the City of Gillette.  These parks are listed out below:

  1. Northland Village Park
  2. Hidden Valley Park
  3. Dalbey Little League
  4. Overlook Park
  5. Heritage Village Park

 

These master plans are needed to review with each park if any improvements could improve the flow and surrounding amenities. Conceptual ideas will be presented to staff for review and comment. Each park will be looked at for any potential improvements to help connectivity, buffering around the park, irrigation and playground elements. 

 

The optional additional public outreach and construction documents are not being included at this time. Staff feels more comfortable with completing the master plans first.  Once the master plans are completed, the future projects will be identified and budgeted on a case by case basis.
ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET:

This project is fully funded from allocated from the 1% Optional Sales Tax Fund.
