| Council Consideration of a Professional Services Agreement for Construction Management Associated with the PMS 2013 Schedule B Project with HDR Engineering, Inc., in the Amount of $105,928.00. |
| BACKGROUND: |
This project consists of pavement repair and rehabilitation of 4th Street, from Stocktrail Avenue to Richards Avenue, 5th Street from Hunt Avenue to 4-J Road, Rohan Avenue, from 4th Street to 6th Street, and Richards Avenue, from 2nd Street to 7th Street. The project will include approximately 6,900 SY of full depth asphalt removal and replacement, 9,800 SY of asphalt overlay, and 7,500 SY of asphalt rotomilling, the removal and replacement of various concrete items, and the installation of approximately 280 LF of sanitary sewer main.
The services with HDR Engineering, Inc. will include a pre-construction meeting with the City of Gillette and the Contractor, review of drawings, schedules, submittals and proposed alternatives, Resident Project Representative (RPR) services, materials testing ($19,812.45 - 18.7% of CM), survey and construction staking ($12,136.00 - 11.5% of CM), progress meetings during construction, construction reports, monthly and final contractor pay requests, project inspection, project engineer's services, and preparation of the Drawings of Construction Record. The Construction Management fees are approximately $1,513.25 per day and are 12.5% of the lowest qualified bid. |

| The funding for this project has been allocated from the 1% Optional Tax Account 201-1011-419.43-31. |
