| Council Consideration of a Professional Services Agreement for the Construction Management Associated with the PMS 2013 Schedule C Project with Morrison-Maierle, Inc., in the Amount of $104,766.00. |
| BACKGROUND: |
|
This project will consist of an extension of the 12" water line from Garner Lake Road to north of Nordgaard Avenue, looping water mains on Nordgaard Avenue and South Butler Spaeth Road, installing fire hydrants to extend fire protection, milling the temporary asphalt surface placed last fall for reuse as blended aggregate road base, new asphaltic concrete surfacing on Nordgaard Avenue and South Butler Spaeth Road, and new curb and gutter on the east side of South Butler Spaeth Road.
The project schedule is sixty (60) working days to substantial completion and seventy (70) working days to final completion.

| ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET: |

Powder River Construction, Inc. has submitted the apparent low bid for construction, with the Additive Alternates, in the amount of $889,176.50.
The proposed construction administration cost for this project is $104,766.00. The Construction Management costs are 12% of the anticipated construction costs or $1,496.66 per day through final completion. Surveying ($16,500) and materials testing ($15,000) are included in this cost. Excluding the surveying and testing fees, the Construction Management cost is about 8% of the construction cost.
