Boxelder Road currently goes from the intersection of Lakeway and Harder Drive near Sage Valley Junior High all the way to the East to Camplex. The new segment of Boxelder Road will go from Skyline and connect to the existing Boxelder Road just West of the Sheriff's office. The portion of Boxelder from Lakeway to the North will intercept the remainder of Boxelder at a T intersection. To avoid the inevitable confusion of having Boxelder intersect itself, it is recommended that the portion from Lakeway be renamed Harder Drive since the street changes its name currently from Harder Drive to Boxelder at the intersection with Lakeway.  This change has been advertised to the public and letters have been sent by GIS staff to the affected property owners. Of the 5 properties whose address will change when the name of the road changes, 3 of them are for City of Gillette owned property.
