| Council Consideration of a Bid Award for the Base Bid of the Ash Meadows Park Improvements Project to S&S Builders, LLC, in the Amount of $302,791.80. |
| BACKGROUND: |
|
The Ash Meadows Park Improvements Project (13EN03) consists of the installation of playground equipment, shelter, concrete sidewalk, half basketball court, landscaping, lighting, and new irrigation system. The park is located on north side of Nutwood Court in the Ash Meadows Subdivision.

| ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET: |
Bids were opened and read aloud on May 8, 2013 at the City of Gillette Purchasing Division. Five (5) bids were received on the Project. An alternate was included in the bid package which consisted of additional irrigation for the multi-use field. The engineers estimate, prepared by Kadrmas, Lee and Jackson (KLJ), was in the amount of $262,945.25 and $268,745.25 with the alternate included. Funding for this project is has been allocated in the 1% Park Improvements Account 201-1011-419.73-11 in the amount of $350,000 (FY2013). It is recommended that only the Base Bid in the amount of $302,791.80 be awarded at this time. |
