SUBJECT: |
Public Hearing for the Transfer of Ownership of a Retail Liquor License from Boss, LLC, to Boot Hill, Inc., d.b.a. Boot Hill, Located at 910 North Gurley Avenue. |
BACKGROUND: |
Terry Brown, Boot Hill, Inc., is requesting the transfer of Boss, Inc.'s retail liquor license. The land, building, and liquor license are all included in the purchase price. The building has two (2) dispensing rooms: a 30' X 30' room on the first floor, and a 70' X 100' room on the second floor. In 2009 a drive-in sales window was added just below the second licensed room on the south side of the building. The lower level of the building will house a restaurant and lounge area, while the entire upper level, which is the second described dispensing room, will be used for dancing and hosting live bands. The new owner is making improvements to the exterior of the building, and plans on bringing back the "night club" that Boot Hill used to be.
The public notice has been published for four (4) consecutive weeks beginning May 17 and ending June 7, 2013, and the property/building was posted with a public hearing notification.
The application and supporting documents have been sent to the State Liquor Commission for their review/approval and the necessary corrections have been made. No protests have been received concerning the transfer of ownership.
