The purpose of this project was to return the Hwy 50 and West 2nd Street right-of-way back to its condition prior to WYDOT's re-construction of the area. The project was designed by Wyss Associates, Inc. and Construction Administration was performed by City staff. The construction began October 2, 2012 and Final Completion was obtained June 18, 2013. The contract called for a winter shut down so the plantings would be fresh and have a better chance of survival. The project was performed within the time allotted in the contract. 

The original contract price was $259,574.00. There were two (2) change orders on the project in the amount of $8,830.02, resulting in a final contract price of $268,404.02. The change orders included work to add landscape rock around utility boxes, irrigation controls, and at intersection nodes, the addition of riprap near the drainage channels, the inclusion of fertilizer for seeding, and verification of the condition of the existing irrigation system on the north side of east Second Street as the system was not functioning properly.

The project was paid out of the 1% Sales Tax Funds 201-1011-419-73.01, and funding from WYDOT as part of the Hwy 50 Project ($145,743.00) to cover damages resulting from their project. The Landscape Architect's original estimate for this project was $295,435.00.
