BACKGROUND:
The Alley PMS 2013 Project included the total surface and sanitary sewer line replacement of the alley between Osborne Avenue and Emerson Avenue, from Third Street to Fourth Street, which is also known as the "Maycock Alley," and the total surface replacement of the alley between East Laramie Street and East Lincoln Street, extending east from Bundy Avenue, including 16 LF of sanitary sewer line repair, also known as the "East Alley."

The Maycock Alley is approximately 300 feet long, 16 feet wide and was paved with concrete.  The 8 inch sewer line is approximately 290 feet in length and all sewer services to the property line were replaced. The adjacent property owners were notified of the project, specifically regarding the sewer line replacements, and no property owners elected to make arrangements with the contractor to replace their sewer services during the timeframe of the project.

The East Alley is approximately 330 feet long, 18 feet wide and was paved with concrete. The 8 inch sanitary sewer line had two (2) separate sections repaired, one 10 foot section and one 6 foot section,  for a total of 16 feet of repair.

The Notice to Proceed was issued on April 8, 2013 and the Certificate of Final Completion was issued on June 28, 2013 which was within the contract time allotted.

The Affidavit on Behalf of the Contractor, the Certificate of Final Completion, and the Warranty are attached for reference.
ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET:
The original contract with S & S Builders, LLC was in the amount of $194,494.85.  There was one (1) change order executed to finalize actual construction quantities.  The change order decreased the contract by $18,219.24 resulting in the final contract amount of $176,275.61.

The funding for this project was allocated from the 1% Optional Tax Account 201-1011-419-4331.
