| Council Consideration of a Resolution Authorizing Submission of an Application to the Business Ready Community Grant and Loan Program for a Downtown Development Grant Project on Behalf of the Governing Body for the City of Gillette for the Gillette Avenue Improvements Project in the amount of $1,000,000.00. |
| BACKGROUND: |
| A public hearing was just held to seek citizen input regarding the Gillette Avenue Reconstruction Project. Staff has prepared an application for a BRC Downtown Development Grant seeking $1,000,000, for the Gillette Avenue Reconstruction Project. This Grant will require that the City provide a 15% local match. Staff in the Engineering Division have established a Project Budget for the Gillette Avenue Reconstruction Project at $6.15 million. It is scheduled to go out for bids in early 2014 and the start of construction is estimated for April of 2014. |

I move for the Approval of a Resolution Authorizing Submission of an Application to the Business Ready Community Grant And Loan Program for a Downtown Development Grant Project on Behalf of the Governing Body for the City of Gillette for the Gillette Avenue Improvements Project in the amount of $1,000,000.
