SUBJECT:
Council Consideration of a Bid Award for Six (6) New 2014 AWD Ford Police Interceptor Sedans to Thunder Basin Ford of Gillette, Wyoming, in the Amount of $155,738.52.
BACKGROUND:

This bid includes Six (6) units in total, four of which are replacement units for PD19, PD24, PD39 and PD58 that were approved in budget and CIP.  The other Two (2) units are a replacement for PD33 and a DARE unit. PD33 was involved in a traffic incident and is a total loss and the DARE unit is an additional unit that was approved in budget and CIP.

ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET:
The approved budget amount for the four (4) replacement units in $103,825.68, which leaves a balance of $48,174.32 which will be used to upfit the units with A/V equipment, radar, radio, AVL, emergency lighting, decals, prisoner seat and cage, and a battery backup system.

The approved budget amount for the additional DARE unit is $37,000.00, which leaves a balance of $13,476.00 that will be used to upfit the unit with A/V equipment, radar, radio, AVL, emergency lighting, decals and a battery backup system.

The cost for PD33 will come out of the Insurance fund. No actual cost vs. budget cost is applicable.
SUGGESTED MOTION:

I move for approval to award the bid for Six (6) New 2014 AWD  Ford Police Interceptor Sedans to Thunder Basin Ford of Gillette, Wyoming in the amount of $155,738.52.
