| Council Consideration of a Bid Award for Five (5) New 2014 4WD Sport Utility Vehicles to Thunder Basin Ford of Gillette, Wyoming, in the Amount of $136,515.50. |
| BACKGROUND: |
These vehicles will be used to replace Building Inspection Unit 66, Engineering Unit 59, Meter Reading Unit 93, Fleet Unit 64 and Fleet Unit 113 that were approved in CIP and budget.
The recommended bid was not the lowest bid received. The lowest bid received was from Greiner Motors from Casper,Wyoming which was $1,225.50 lower than the recommended bid. As the difference in bids is less than 1%, the Fleet Manager, Patrick Martin, is recommending that the bid be awarded to the lowest local bid which is from Thunder Basin Ford of Gillette,Wyoming. |
| ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET: |

The approved budget amount for the Five (5) replacement units is $143,500.00, which leaves a balance of $6,984.50 that will be used to upfit the unit with AVL and safety equipment.

I move for approval to award the bid for Five (5) New 2014 4WD Sport Utility Vehicles to Thunder Basin Ford of Gillette, Wyoming in the Amount of $136,515.50.
