SUBJECT:
Council Consideration of a Resolution to Create the Department of Development Services to Oversee the Regulation of Development and Capital Construction Projects within the City of Gillette.
BACKGROUND:
The City of Gillette has organized the Engineering, Building, Planning, Code Compliance, and Trafffic Safety Divisions into a single Department. As a result, the City has invested in the creation of a "Permit Center" through the remodeling of the 2nd Floor of City Hall to provide convenient and efficient customer service.

This Resolution affirms the creation of the Department of Development Services containing the Engineering Division, Planning Division, Building Inspection Division, Code Compliance Division, and Traffic Safety Division, formerly known as the Department of Community Development and the Engineering Department.
