At the 12-3-2012 City Council meeting, an easement was approved to allow the Campbell County Cemetery to construct a new water tank upon City owned property in the Washington Memorial Park Addition. One condition in that easement was that the new tank had to be built within one year of the approval of the easement. Unfortunately, when the Cemetery went to bid on the new project, the prices received were far higher than anticipated and the Cemetery Board decided to rebid in hope of more realistic prices. That process will push the construction outside of the one year window and so they have requested that the City approve a revised easement with a longer period within which to start the project. We have prepared a new easement which is attached and extends the period for construction from one (1) year to five (5) years, which should give the Cemetery Board the flexibility they need for the project.
