This project included reconstruction of the pavement on South Butler Spaeth Road and Nordgaard Avenue from Highway 59 to Lobo Lane.  The reconstruction included the installation of curb and gutter on the south side of South Butler Spaeth Road, the extension of a twelve inch (12") water main along Highway 59 from Garner Lake Road to north of Nordgaard Avenue, looping the water main along South Butler Spaeth Road to Nordgaard Avenue, and back to Highway 59, the addition of fire hydrants and water service connections, the extension of sanitary sewer, and the addition of storm drain inlets and auxiliary storm sewer along Highway 59 to help alleviate localized flooding.

The project schedule allowed for 60 working days to substantial completion and 70 working days to final completion.  Four (4) days were added to the substantial completion date and three (3) days were added to the final completion date by change order.  The contractor was assessed seven (7) days of liquidated damages at $1,600 per day for substantial completion and four (4) days of liquidated damages at $800 per day for final completion.  A total of $14,400 of liquidated damages were assessed.

The project was awarded in the amount of $889,176.50.  There were two change orders on the project, which resulted in a net decrease of $2,851.42 to the contract.  The final contract price was in the amount of $886,325.08.

This project was funded  from the 1% Optional Sales Tax Account 201-10-05-419-40-44331.
