Sundance Lounge is requesting a Catering Permit for June 21, 2014 from 8:00 p.m. to Midnight. The request is to support fund raising efforts conducted by the "Sweeties on Wheelies." The group of motorcycle ladies is scheduling a ride, auction, dance and vendor sales in order to raise money for the Women's Resource Center located in Gillette. The motorcycle group will begin their ride in Gillette, travel to Broadus, MT, Alzada for lunch, pictures at Devil's Tower, a stop at Ruff's, and then end the ride at the National 9 Inn-Sundance Lounge.
Lazy L Band is donating their services and providing the music; Pokey's BBQ will be cooking a pig and donating a per plate dollar amount, with leftovers to be donated to the Soup Kitchen. There will be a live auction held outdoors, as well as vendors that will have booths located within Sundance Lounge's establishment, that will be used for fund raising efforts.
The 75' X 100' area will be fenced with cattle panel fencing. There will be one gate for entering/exiting the fenced area. Two tents will be erected for the dispensing and serving of alcoholic/malt beverages.
According to Georgette Hoffman, she spoke with Debby Simpson, General Manager of the Howard Johnson, and explained the fundraising efforts of the Sweetie on Wheelies. Ms. Hoffman stated the manager at the Howard Johnson has no apprehensions in regard to the music or other outdoor events disturbing Howard Johnson's motel guests.
Neither the Police Dept or the Clerk's office has concerns as it relates to this request.
