| An Ordinance to Revise Rates for Wastewater Service Furnished by the City of Gillette. |
| BACKGROUND: |
| An ordinance has been prepared to raise wastewater rates to increase the revenue to the wastewater enterprise fund by 15%. The monthly service charge for a 1 inch or smaller meter will increase from $6.15 to $7.05 on May 1. The monthly service charge for meters larger than 1 inch will increase from $30.65 to $35.20 on May 1. In addition the volume based user service charge for Class I residential and Class II commercial rate customers will increase from $2.10 per thousand gallons to $ 2.42 per thousand gallons on May 1. A typical customer using 7,000 gallons of water will see an increase in their wastewater bill from $ 20.85 to $ 23.99. |
