On March 4th, Big Lost Meadery, LLC applied for a Winery Permit. However, because there is no fee established for this type of permit, Council will need to approve a fee. State Statute allows for a fee of no less than $300 and no more than $500. On May 9, 2009 the Council, by formal consideration approved a $500 fee for microbrewery permits. To stay consistent with the microbrewery fees, staff is recommending a $500 fee for winery permits as well.
The request for the winery permit is scheduled for the April 1st meeting.
