SUBJECT:
Council Consideration of a Non-Contiguous Property Annexation Agreement for City Sanitary Sewer and Water Services with David and Tina Geer, D&T Properties, LLC, for Property Generally Located at 5700 South Douglas Highway.
BACKGROUND:
City Council granted City staff permission to negotiate a Non-Contiguous Annexation Agreement with D&T Properties, LLC (David and Tina Geer) at their March 18, 2014 City Council Meeting. As a result of receiving permission to negotiate a Non-Contiguous Annexation Agreement, City staff met with the Geer's, as well as their legal counsel, and agreed to terms for City sanitary sewer service and water service. The Geer's agreed to terms similar to adjacent properties in the area, which allows water service for fire protection only at this time, and domestic service upon the new Madison water supply becoming available. Full City sanitary sewer service will be immediately available.

The Southern Industrial Roads Paving Project will be commencing in late April, so the Geer's have made arrangements to stub the sewer service from the main to the property line in order to avoid cutting into the new concrete pavement.
