The City of Gillette, Campbell County, Youth Emergency Services, Inc., and Youth Emergency Services Foundation, Inc., have agreed to partner in the construction of the YES House Girls Residential Treatment Facility on the YES House Campus in Gillette. The City of Gillette has agreed to provide $1,463,800, Campbell County has agreed to provide $1,000,000, and the YES House has matched $1,000,000 in funds to provide a total project budget of $3,463,000.
The Girls Residential Treatment Facility will be approximately 10,800 SF and be of similar construction to the existing Boys Residential Treatment Facility. This project will include a basement that will provide storage and a storm shelter. The structure is being designed by Noel Griffith, Jr. and Associates Architects.
The City received a total of seven (7) proposals to be the Construction Manager At Risk (CMAR) for the project. The selection committee, comprised of representatives from the City, YES House, and Architect, reviewed the proposals and narrowed the list to three (3) firms to interview on the project. Interviews were held on March 28, 2014 and Hladky Construction, Inc. is being recommended by the selection committee to serve as the CMAR for the project.
The proposed Pre-Construction Services Fee is $6,800. Pre-Construction Services will include providing value engineering with trending logs, development of a project schedule, setting the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), formulating bid packages, preliminary pricing, providing phasing recommendations, and reviewing constructability of project components and making corresponding recommendations.
Hladky Construction, Inc. has many years of experience working in the Gillette area and has the availability and manpower necessary to serve as the CMAR for the project.
