| Council Consideration for the Acceptance of Public Improvements for the PMS 2013 Schedule B Project, Installed by Powder River Construction, Inc., in the Amount of $828,909.76 (1% Project). |
| BACKGROUND: |
| This project consisted of pavement repair and rehabilitation of 4th Street from Stocktrail Avenue to Richards Avenue, 5th Street from Hunt Avenue to 4-J Road, Rohan Avenue, from 4th Street to 6th Street, and Richards Avenue from 2nd Street to 7th Street. The project included approximately 6,900 SY of full depth asphalt removal and replacement, 9,800 SY of asphalt overlay, and 7,500 SY of asphalt rotomilling, the removal and replacement of various concrete items, and the installation of approximately 280 LF of sanitary sewer main in Rohan Avenue from 5th Street to 6th Street.
The work was substantially complete in 83 working days, six (6) days over the contract time for substantial completion. The project reached final completion in 93 working days, seven (7) days over the contract time for final completion. Therefore, $14,250.00 was charged in liquidated damages. |
| ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET: |
| The project was originally awarded in the amount of $847,126.00. There were a total of three (3) change orders for a net decrease in the contract price of $18,216.24. The decrease in the contract price was due to final adjustment of quantities.
The funding for this project has been allocated from the 1% Optional Tax Account 201-10-05-419-40-44331. |
