Council Consideration of a Resolution to Establish a Solid Waste Collection Schedule for Areas Within the City of Gillette.
BACKGROUND:
The Solid Waste Division of the Public Works Department has been working with the GIS Division to review the routes used by Solid Waste to pick up residential and commercial customers. Their review included the areas with Antelope Valley and Crestview to estimate the impact of the annexation of those subdivisions on solid waste pickups. The result of this review is the map that is attached to the adoption Resolution. Their conclusion is that the 5 day schedule shown on the map should simplify solid waste scheduling and permit the pick up of all areas of the City as well as Antelope Valley and Crestview in the future if they are annexed without an increase in the current staff and fleet.
