Council Consideration of a Resolution to Allow the Construction of Improvements upon the City Owned Property Leased to the Gun Club.
BACKGROUND:
For many years the City has leased a parcel of land to the Gillette Gun Club for use as a public shooting range. The Lease for the shooting range provides that "No substantial improvement or alteration of the premises shall be made without the prior written consent of the LESSOR." The Gun Club would like to replace their existing building with a new and larger one for their operations and has requested permission from the City to do so. This Resolution has been drafted to provide the formal written approval that is specified in the Lease.
