| Council Consideration for the Acceptance of Public Improvements Associated with the Gillette Madison Pipeline Project Contract No. 4a Potable Transmission Waterline to Wyodak Completed by Garney Wyoming, Inc., in the Amount of $21,735,618.02. |
| BACKGROUND: |
Garney Wyoming Inc. has completed the work for the Gillette Madison Pipeline Project Contract No. 4a Potable Transmission Waterline. This work consisted of furnishing and installing approximately 10 miles of 42-inch diameter coated steel water main between Wyodak and the Southern Drive Water Tank.
The original bid price to perform this work was $20,886,151.90.
The final contract amount when considering all change orders is $21,735,618.02.
During the March 4, 2013 Council Meeting, the City of Gillette approved a Change Order with Garney Wyoming Inc. as part of this project in the amount of $500,504.00 to complete the Phase II Liebherr Waterline from funding provided by the Wyoming Business Council. Copies of Garney's Change Order Summary, Final Payment Application and other Close Out Documents are attached for your information.
City Staff recommends Council acceptance of this project. City Staff also recommends commencement of the 41- day advertisement period starting on Friday, July 4 ,2014. Final payment to the Contractor will be made after the 41- day advertisement period is complete, or around August 15, 2014. |
| ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET: |
| Payment for all WWDC eligible costs for this project are available for reimbursement from the Wyoming Water Development Commission through our 67% grant and 33 % loan we have with them for the Gillette Madison Pipeline Project. Cost for non-eligible items are paid from the funding sources identified within the Change Order and Payment summary.
