The Alley PMS 2014 Project consisted of the total surface replacement of the alley between L A Lane and Ship Wheel Lane from Flying Circle Drive to Hog Eye Drive, including 3 sewer services and 13.4 LF of 8" sanitary sewer main.  The alley is 826 feet long and varies in width from 16 to 45 feet wide at Hog Eye Drive and was paved with 6.5" of concrete.

The contract established 35 working days to Substantial Completion and 40 working days for Final Completion. The Notice to Proceed was issued on April 22, 2014. Due to adverse weather days, the project was finished on June 18, 2014 which was within the allotted contract time.

The original contract with Powder River Construction, Inc. was in the amount of $202,624.50. There was one (1) change order to zero out quantities and add contract time for weather days for a net decrease of $33,601.41, resulting in a final contract price of $169,023.09.

The Change Order was for five (5) weather days and for the final quantity adjustments.  The largest portion of the quantity adjustments were in the area of Rejected Material Disposal and Imported Barrow due to not knowing what the subgrade surface would be until it was uncovered. Upon excavation, the subgrade surface was serviceable road material.

Funding for this project was allocated from the 1% Optional Sales Tax Account 201-10-05-419-40-44331.

I move for Approval of the Acceptance of Public Improvements for the Alley PMS 2014 Project, Installed by Powder River Construction, Inc., in the Amount of $169,023.09.00 (1% Project).
