Council Consideration of an Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement for Construction Phase Services for the Gillette Regional Water Supply Project - Phase I District Extensions with DOWL HKM in the Amount of $649,500.00.
BACKGROUND:
Attached is a copy of the DOWL HKM Professional Services Amendment for Construction Phase Services for the Gillette Regional Water Supply Project - Phase I District Extensions for your consideration.

City Staff is in the process of finalizing Water Service Agreements (WSA's) with the participating Priority I Water Districts located in the Antelope Valley and Force Road Area(s) who will receive future water service from this first district extension project.  Once these WSA's have been executed by the respective Water District and the City Council, then the City can begin advertisement for this project.  (RE:  WWDC letter, attached.)

The direct construction cost estimate for this project is $7.5 million.

Staff recommends approval of the attached Professional Services Amendment with DOWL HKM to provide Construction Phase Services for this project.
ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET:
Payment for all WWDC eligible costs for this project are available for reimbursement from the WWDC through our 67% grant we have with them.  Payment for the 33% match will come from the District Extensions Portion of the $20M Capital Facilities Tax.  Payment for the non-eligible items will come from the individual water districts.
