Council Consideration for the Acceptance of Public Improvements Associated with the Gillette Madison Pipeline Project Contract No. 3 In-Town Piping, Westover to Southern Drive, Completed by TIC, The Industrial Company Wyoming, Inc., in the Amount of $15,328,491.81.
BACKGROUND:
TIC, The Industrial Company Wyoming, Inc. (TIC) has completed the work for the Gillette Madison Pipeline Project Contract No. 3 In-Town Piping.  This work consisted of furnishing and installing approximately 7 miles of 24, 30, and 36-inch diameter PVC water main between Westover and the Southern Drive Tank.

The original bid price to perform this work was $15,090,944.00.

The final contract amount when considering all change orders is $15,328,491.81.

During the October 21, 2013 Council Meeting, the City of Gillette approved a Change Order with TIC as part of this project in the amount of $700,000.00 to resolve a claim associated with the Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) work along Westover Rd.

A copy of TIC's Change Order Summary, Final Payment Application and other Close-Out Documents are attached for your information.

City Staff recommends Council acceptance of this project.  City Staff also recommends commencement of the 41-day advertisement period starting on Friday, July 18, 2014.  Final payment to the Contractor will be made after the 41-day advertisement period is complete, or around August 29, 2014.
ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET:
Payment for all WWDC eligible costs for this project are available for reimbursement from the WWDC through our 67% grant and 33% loan we have with them for the Gillette Madison Pipeline Project.  Costs for non-eligible items are paid from the funding sources identified within the Change Order and Final Payment Summary, attached.
