Council Consideration for the Acceptance of Public Improvements Associated with the Gillette Madison Pipeline Project Contract No. 3a Enzi/Southern Drive Intersection Utility Casing Completed by Hot Iron, Inc., in the Amount of $75,456.44.
BACKGROUND:
In November 2011, Hot Iron Inc. completed the installation of a casing sleeve at the intersection of Southern Drive and Enzi Drive to accommodate the installation of the new signal at this intersection prior to the installation of the new Madison Pipeline.

The project was complete in December 2011.  The City held onto the final retainage payment to coincide with the Final Payment and commencement of the one year warranty period with TIC's separate Madison Pipeline Project.  Both projects will be considered for Council acceptance during the July 15 meeting.

Hot Iron's original bid price was $61,956.44.  We executed one change order in the amount of $13,500.00 for the installation of temporary water-filled barrier during the construction at the request of Campbell County.  The final contract price is $75,456.44.

City Staff recommends acceptance of these improvements and payment of the final retainage payment of $3,772.82, once the 41-day advertisement period is complete.
ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET:
This project is eligible for reimbursement from the WWDC through the 67% grant and 33% loan we have with them.
