The City of Gillette has been approached by multiple businesses located in the industrial areas south of Southern Drive and west of South Douglas Highway to provide utility infrastructure to support the expansion of their businesses and industrial parks. The City of Gillette currently provides water and sanitary sewer service to the majority of the lots in the Winland, WCW,  Lysle, Mohan, Robertson Industrial, Rourke, Sharon, Southern Drive Industrial Park, and Hays Subdivisions, as well as Wyoming Machinery and Liebherr properties. 

The City has requested petitions to Annex from all properties who currently have Pre-Annexation Agreements, in accordance with the terms of their Pre-Annexation Agreements for water and sewer service. It is anticipated the City will receive petitions from the majority of the landowners who own the majority of the land in the proposed annexation, resulting in a landowner petitioned annexation. A map of the proposed annexation area is attached for reference.

PCA Engineering, Inc. responded to a Request for Proposal to prepare the required Annexation documents for the project. Their fees will be based on a time and materials basis and are estimated to be $24,500. They proposed to begin their services upon a one-week notice and anticipate a submittal to the City in September of 2014.  

I move for Approval of a Professional Services Agreement for the Preparation of Annexation Documents Associated with the Southern Industrial Addition Annexation, with PCA Engineering, Inc., in the Amount of $24,500.00.
