The bids were opened July 10, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the office of the Purchasing Division, Central Warehouse, 800 N. Burma Avenue, Gillette, Wyoming.
There were eight (8) bids submitted: HD Supply and CG Group in the amount of $388,419.41 HD Supply and Virginia Transformer Corp in the amount of $391,104.17 Wesco and WEG in the amount of $445,416.00 Wesco and ABB in the amount of $501,438.00 American Site Builders in the amount of $484,717.57 Virginia Transformer Corp in the amount of $375,460.00 Pennsylvania Transformer Technology in the amount of $452,022.00 Pan America Supply and PowerMax in the amount of $533,000.00
When evaluating the bids we are considering the lifecycle cost of the transformer. The price that we are paying for the transformer includes the suggested spare parts at $7,000.00 and the assembly of the unit at the final location at $13,500.00, for a total cost of $408,919.41. |
