| Council Consideration of a Resolution Authorizing Submission of an Application to the Business Ready Community Grant and Loan Program for a Community Readiness Grant, in the Amount of $2,000,000.00 on Behalf of the Governing Body for the City of Gillette, Wyoming. |
| BACKGROUND: |
| The City Council held a hearing at the last regular Council meeting, on August 19, 2014, to consider grant and loan applications to the Wyoming Business Council under the Business Ready Community Grant and Loan Program for a Community Readiness Grant in the amount of not to exceed $1,500,000 and a Loan in the amount of not to exceed $3,500,000. Since those applications were approved, staff has been advised by the WBC staff that they would prefer that the loan application be in the amount of $3,000,000 and the grant application in the amount of $2,000,000. Since the Resolution for the Grant was limited to $1,500,000, it is necessary to pass another Resolution to authorize a Grant application for the additional $500,000. Since the Loan Resolution was not to exceed $3,500,000, it is not necessary to pass a new Resolution to apply for the $3,000,000 loan. |
