| Council Consideration of a Lease with Gillette Girls' Fastpitch Association, Inc. |
| BACKGROUND: |
| A lease has been prepared for the 4 softball fields at the Softball/Baseball Complex, between the City of Gillette and the Gillette Girls Softball Association, Inc., (hereinafter Fastpitch). The lease is modeled after the lease that the City has with the Little League for the ball fields at the Fishing Lake. The lease has a 5 year term with additional terms unless either party sends a notice of termination. Fastpitch will be responsible for utilities during their use. They will also be responsible for the concession stand and will manage advertising at the field. The City will retain naming rights for the fields and scoreboard advertising. Fastpitch will work with Little League to make the fields available when not used by Fastpitch and will be able to charge a fee to recover their out of pocket costs for the use of fields by others. |
