The Wyoming Business Council has approved the application filed by the City of Gillette for a Community Facilities Grant in the amount of $867,670. This grant has been sought to improve the Lakeview School, which has been conveyed to Gillette from the CCSD, so that it can be used as the Gillette Youth Learning Center, which will be operated by the Boys and Girls Club. Gillette has entered into a lease with the Boys and Girls Club, who will operate the facility and manage it as a center for various related human services agencies. The approval of this agreement is necessary for the release of funds to remodel the former Lakeview school.
