| Council Consideration of a Resolution to Adopt the 1% Funding Priorities from the 2014 Optional 1% Survey. |
| BACKGROUND: |
| Every four years, prior to the general election, the City Council approves the funding priorities for the optional 1% sales tax based on the 1% survey. Current priorities are as follows: 1. Upgrade and maintain city streets 2. Water system improvements including additional water supply 3. Utility system improvements 4. Storm drainage improvements 5. Public Works services (i.e. Spring Cleanup) 6. Law enforcement equipment 7. Recycling programs 8. Sidewalk and bike path improvements 9. Substance abuse prevention, education, and treatment 10. Upgrade Fire Department facilities and equipment 11. Park improvements 12. Air service enhancement 13. Gillette College funding 14. Construct new arterial streets 15. Contributions to capital replacement reserve 16. Public improvements in the downtown area & other commercial corridors 17. Splash park/pool 18. Landscaping of public right of ways 19. Outside/social service agency funding 20. Gillette Golf Course (Back 9) |
