| Council Consideration of a Water Service Agreement with the Cook Road Water District. |
| BACKGROUND: |
| The City Council approved the form of the Water Service Agreement for Improvement and Service Districts and other water systems within the Designated Service Area around Gillette at the October 7, 2014 Council meeting. After the approval of the WSA and the Wholesale Water rates, staff contacted the rural districts identified in the JPA to secure their approval of the WSA for their district and the water rates approved by the Council and the Regional Water Panel. So far the WSA’s have been signed by Cook Road, Spring Hill Ranch, Bennor, Eight Mile, Rafter D and Southfork Estates. Now that those WSAs have been approved by the Districts, staff will be able to complete work with the State of Wyoming and secure approval of and final funding for the construction projects necessary to connect the rural districts to the Gillette Regional Water Supply System. Cook Road, Eight Mile, Rafter D
and Southfork Estates have elected to take water at the Intermittent Rate and Spring
Hill Ranch, and Bennor have selected the Year-Round Rate. |
