| Council Consideration for the Issuance of a Bar & Grill Liquor License to H&H Cuisine, Inc., d.b.a. Ruby Tuesday, Located at 500 E. Boxelder Road. |
| BACKGROUND: |
H&H Cuisine, Inc., is requesting a Bar & Grill liquor license. They are planning construction of a new restaurant on property located at 500 E Boxelder Rd.
This is the third request for a Bar & Grill liquor license. Gillette has four total Bar & Grill liquor licenses, with two currently issued; one to Buffalo Wild Wings and the other to The Chophouse. No additional Bar & Grill liquor licenses will be issued to Gillette until after the 2015 adjustment or the 2020 census, and only then if we meet the population numbers needed to acquire an additional Bar & Grill license.
After speaking with Todd Hoekstra, owner, Ruby Tuesday would need to meet certain requirements of the franchise. One of those requirements is the ability to have a "bar" setting. Since there are no retail licenses available, the only other option would be to acquire a Bar & Grill Liquor License.
The public hearing has been advertised for two consecutive weeks, November 3 & 10. No protests have been received. The Wyoming Liquor Division has reviewed/approved the application and any corrections, if applicable, have been completed. |
