LOF Gillette, LLC, is requesting the relocation of their described dispensing room for their liquor license. Recently, the Clarion was remodeled and they will no longer have the area that housed Bootlegger's Restaurant. This area has been leased to Sapporo Wyoming, Inc., d.b.a. Sapporo Japanese Steakhouse, who has applied for a Bar & Grill Liquor License.
The Clarion still wants the ability to serve alcohol and malt beverages during events such as banquets. The new dispensing room will be located within a 22' X 36' room in the center of the building on the north side, known as Dillengeer's Room. Since LOF Gillette, LLC, required Sapporo Wyoming, Inc, to obtain a new address for the old Bootlegger's location, the current liquor license's description for their dispensing room needs to be re-located so a new liquor license can be issued with the correct dispensing room description. Wyoming Statute 12-5-201 (a) states "...the principal place in which alcoholic liquor and malt beverages are sold under a license shall be located in one (1) room upon the premises for which the license is issued..." Since the old location (Bootleggers) is no longer addressed as 2009 S Douglas Hwy, the liquor license needs to be relocated to the premises in which the liquor license has been issued; 2009 S Douglas Hwy.The Licensing Authority approves dispensing rooms and, therefore, this request to relocate the dispensing room will need to be approved by Council.
