The work on this project included a complete street improvement including all utilities (water, sewer, storm sewer, and electrical), curb, gutter, sidewalks, concrete pavement and new sub- structure, trails, walls, landscaping and park improvements, as well as a new traffic signal at 4-J Road with widening to the east for future expansion. The work included new driveways to county facilities and the realignment of Harder Drive to the south. Construction began March 5, 2013 and received final completion on September 2, 2014, which included a winter shut down from December 2013 through April 2014. The contractor was charged 41 days of Liquidated Damages in the amount of $34,875.00 on the project.

The Affidavit on Behalf of Contractor, Certificate of Final Completion and Warranties are attached for reference. At the City's request, a two-year warranty (above the standard one-year warranty) has been provided by the contractor on the concrete paving as it was installed during cold weather conditions.

This 1% Sales Tax Project was awarded in the amount of $2,888,800.00. There were a total of ten (10) Change Orders on the project for a net increase of $303,290.87, resulting in a final contract price of  $3,192,090.87.

Notable Change Orders included the repair of damaged subgrade (approximately $130,000), inclusion of surveying/construction staking into the contractor's contract ($57,991), a portion of the cold-weather concrete costs ($40,000), additional landscaping and irrigation improvements at the Campbell County Detention Facility (approximately $40,000), and additional drainage conveyance east of Harder Drive ($11,392.35).
