The owners are seeking Final Plat approval for a four (4) lot subdivision for ownership purposes only.
The proposed subdivision is 31.74 acres. It is located on the north side of the intersection of Butler Spaeth Road and Garner Lake Road. Lot 1 (7.26 acres) and Lot 2 (11.58 acres) have a zoning designation of C-3, Business/Services District. Lot 3 (8.05 acres) and Lot 4 (4.85 acres) have a zoning designation of I-1, Light Industrial District. Each lot has public road frontage.
The property is vacant except for an operating oil well located on Lot 3. The proposed subdivision is surrounded by a mix of uses including industrial, residential and commercial properties. The owners want to subdivide the property in anticipation of future development.
The applicants requested that the previously approved Final Plat for the Devon Addition be removed from consideration at the December 16, 2014, City Council Meeting. That plat conformed to an approved rezoning request.
The applicants requested City Council to repeal the rezoning Ordinance No. 3845 which was approved on November 16, 2014. The approved ordinance changed the zoning from C-3, Business/Services District to I-1, Light Industrial District, for the area shown as proposed Lot 1 of the Devon Addition. The first reading to repeal Ordinance No. 3845 was approved by City Council on January 6, 2015. The third reading to repeal Ordinance No. 3845 is anticipated to be on January 20, 2015. The currently proposed lot configuration will coincide with the zoning pattern upon repeal of the Ordinance.
