SUBJECT:
Appointment of Councilman Kevin McGrath as Board Liaison on the Campbell County Joint Powers Fire Board.
BACKGROUND:
The Campbell County Joint Powers Fire Board of Directors is comprised of citizens who are appointed by the funding agencies represented in the Integrated Gillette / Wright / Campbell County Fire Protection Board Joint Powers Agreement.

This board is responsible for the oversight of the emergency services which include, but are not limited to fire suppression, hazardous materials response, wildland operations, technical rescue, and a countywide first responder program delivered to all of the citizens who live within the Campbell County boundaries.

The Board of Directors help develop and manage business plans, policy objectives, and the business strategy. Through regular meetings the board helps ensure effective organizational planning and assures that Fire Department resources are managed effectively. Their duties include assurance that local, state, and federal regulatory requirements are met. 

The board meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the Fire Department's Community Room, Station One, at 106 Rohan Ave.
