Up until November 18, 2014, Burro Loco, LLC, was the holder of a Restaurant Liquor License. On November 18, 2014, Burro Loco, LLC, was issued a Bar & Grill Liquor License. W.S. 12-4-103(b) states: "Except as provided in W.S. 12-4-301(e), no licensing authority shall issue more than one (1) license or permit to any one (1) person." Part of the liquor license process is submitting a "letter of relinquishment" if an applicant is requesting a different type of liquor license. This will ensure that if another liquor license is issued, then the applicant only holds one liquor license. Therefore, when the Bar & Grill Liquor License was issued to Burro Loco, LLC, the relinquishment of the restaurant liquor license back to the Licensing Authority took place.
According to the owners of Burro Loco, LLC, agreements that had been made between the property owner and Burro Loco, LLC, with regard to certain improvements to the leased space, fell through. During the 2/17/2015 Pre-Meeting, owner Brittany Jimenz-Ocampo explained that her intentions are to search for another location for their restaurant. Because the Bar & Grill license cannot be transferred, Council denied the renewal of this particular license during the public hearing consideration on 2/17/2015.
In order for Burro Loco, LLC, to dispense and serve alcohol/malt beverages again, they need to apply for, and be issued, another liquor license.
The Wyoming Liquor Division has reviewed/approved the application. The Public Hearing was advertised two consecutive weeks. No protests have been received.
