| An Ordinance to Revise Rates for Wastewater Service Furnished by the City of Gillette. |
| BACKGROUND: |
Ordinance first reading: 7/0
An ordinance has been prepared to raise wastewater rates to increase the revenue to the wastewater enterprise fund by 10%. The monthly service charge for a 1 inch or smaller meter will increase from $7.05 to $7.75 on May 1. The monthly service charge for meters larger than 1 inch will increase from $35.20 to $38.75 on May 1. In addition the volume based user service charge for Class I residential and Class II commercial rate customers will increase from $2.42 per thousand gallons to $2.66 per thousand gallons on May 1. A typical customer using 7,000 gallons of water will see an increase in their wastewater bill from $ 23.99 to $ 26.39. |
