| Council Consideration of a Bid Award for the Base Bid and Alternates 1 and 2 for the Fox Park - Park Improvements and Arley Acres Pathway Project to DRM, Inc., in the Amount of $521,575.57 (1% Project). |
| BACKGROUND: |
| The Fox Park-Park Improvements and Arley Acres Pathway Project (14EN23) consists of approximately 500 lineal feet of a 26 foot wide asphalt paved roadway and parking lot, 1,922 lineal feet of a 6-foot wide concrete pedestrian pathway, and 1,900 lineal feet of a 6-foot wide wood chip trail near the existing Fox Park-park area and Arley Acres. Project also includes drainage improvements, a new water service, fencing, multi-use field amenities, lighting, irrigation and landscaping items. |
| ACTUAL COST VS. BUDGET: |
Bids were opened and read aloud on March 25, 2015 at the City of Gillette Purchasing Division. Five (5) bids were received on the project. There were two (2) alternates included in the bid package. Alternate 1 consisted of the installation of irrigation to the existing trees in the park and Alternate 2 consisted of the installation of a wood chip trail around the park. The project will be funded by the Optional 1% Sales Tax Park Improvements Fund Account # 201-10-05-419-70-47311 in the amount of $605,800.00. It is recommended that the Base bid and both alternates be awarded at this time. The contract allows 55 working days to final completion. |
