| Council Consideration to Extend the Serving Area at Los Compadres Mexican Restaurant to Include the Front Patio. |
| BACKGROUND: |
Los Compadres has requested an extension of their serving area to allow for serving alcohol on the front patio. In the past, they have requested a temporary extension of the serving area during Cinco de Mayo, but at that time, the owner did not want to permanently make this an extended serving area. Circumstances have changed and they are requesting an extension during the months of May - September.
There are three (3) ramps that lead onto the patio. The applicant has had discussions regarding the installation of gates for enclosure purposes, and handicap access with Building & Engineering Dept.
Wyoming Statute 12-5-201 allows for an extended serving area in "the building in which the licensed room is located and in an immediately adjacent fenced or enclosed area as approved by the Local Licensing Authority." The applicant is aware that the area will need to be enclosed in order to meet the requirements of statute.
The applicant has filed an updated Operational Plan with the City Clerk's office. |
