Council Consideration for the Authorization of the Mayor to Sign a Short-Term Amendment to the Amended and Restated Generation Dispatch and Energy Management Agreement (the “GDEMA”) Dated September 3, 2014, By and Between Black Hills Power, Inc., and the City of Gillette, Wyoming to Accommodate the Peaking Power Requirements for the Remainder of 2015. |
BACKGROUND: |
Through the purchase of CT II, the City of Gillette has ended its contract with Municipal Energy Agency of Nebraska (MEAN). Part of this contract covered the delivery of peaking power over the summer peak energy months. This agreement amendment with Black Hills Power will cover the peaking power requirements for the City of Gillette through the end of 2015.

I move for Approval for the Authorization of the Mayor to sign a short-term amendment to the Amended and Restated Generation Dispatch and Energy Management Agreement (the “GDEMA”) dated September 3, 2014, by and between Black Hills Power, Inc., and the City of Gillette, Wyoming to accommodate the peaking power requirements for the remainder of 2015. |
