| Council Consideration of a Bid Award for the Base Bid and Alternate Bid for the Pathway Repairs 2015 Project to Simon Contractors in the Amount of $236,018.00 (1% Project). |
| BACKGROUND: |
The Pathway Repairs 2015 (15EN25) Project includes the repair of approximately 5100 LF of 8' wide asphalt bike path from Skyline Drive to Overdale Drive along the north side of Westover Road. There are three (3) areas to remove and repair, 2,222 LF of crack sealing, and a 1.5" overlay of the entire pathway.
The base bid included repairs from Energy Court west to Overdale Drive and the alternate bid included repairs from Energy Court east to Skyline Drive.
Bids were opened on May 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the office of the Purchasing Division, Central Warehouse, 800 N. Burma Avenue, Gillette, Wyoming.
One (1) bid was received:
Simon Contractors
Base Bid $200,637.00
Alternate Bid $35,381.00
TOTAL $236,018.00.
The project was designed in-house. The bid was reviewed and it was determined that Simon Contractors is the lowest qualified bidder. The work will be substantially complete within 30 working days and ready for final payment within 40 working days. |

| The Engineer's Estimate from staff for this project was $321,477.00. The funding for this project has been allocated from the 1% Optional Tax Account 201-10-05-41-40-47406. |
