The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is currently constructing improvements to Wyoming Highway 51 from Garner Lake Road to the east approximately eight (8) miles. As part of the design of the project, WYDOT agreed to construct a ten foot (10') wide concrete pathway on the south side of Highway 51 from Garner Lake Road east to Fox Park Road.

WYDOT is incurring all costs associated with the construction of the pathway provided the City of Gillette will indefinitely assume maintenance of the pathway at no cost to WYDOT. Said maintenance of the pathway shall include but not be limited to weed and pest control, vandalism repairs, crash damage repairs, snow removal, and necessary miscellaneous repairs or modifications to keep the area in a neat and pleasing condition.
